BMW E46 M3

FB132/01 fits compatible BMW E46 M3 applications using the corresponding factory airbox. Verify the complete application and BMW OEM reference before ordering.

BMC FB577/08

Earlier E90, E92 & E93 M3

FB577/08 serves compatible earlier U.S.-market E90, E92, and E93 BMW M3 applications. Confirm the production period and OEM reference before ordering.

BMC FB536/08

Later E90, E92 & E93 M3

FB536/08 serves compatible later U.S.-market E90, E92, and E93 BMW M3 applications. Do not select between the E9X filters by chassis alone.

BMC FB740/20

Original F87 BMW M2

FB740/20 fits compatible original F87 BMW M2 applications with the N55 turbocharged inline-six. It is not the filter used for the later M2 Competition or M2 CS.

F87 M2 Competition, F80 M3 & F82/F83 M4

FB647/20 is the full replacement filter kit for compatible S55-powered M2 Competition, M2 CS, F80 M3, and F82/F83 M4 applications.

BMC FB01118

G87 M2, G80/G81 M3 & G82/G83 M4

FB01118 fits compatible S58-powered G87 M2, G80/G81 M3, and G82/G83 M4 applications using their corresponding original BMW airboxes.

Fitment note: The original F87 M2 and F87 M2 Competition use different BMC filters. E9X M3 applications can also use different filters depending on production period and factory airbox configuration. Do BMC filters fit the factory BMW M airbox?

Yes. The replacement filters shown here are designed to install inside the corresponding factory BMW M airbox where the listed BMC part number is specified. A complete aftermarket intake system is not required.

Which BMC filter fits the G80 M3, G82 M4, or G87 M2?

BMC FB01118 is specified for compatible G80/G81 M3, G82/G83 M4, and G87 M2 applications. Verify the complete vehicle application and factory airbox before ordering.

Do the original F87 M2 and M2 Competition use the same filter?

No. Compatible original N55-powered F87 M2 applications use FB740/20, while the S55-powered F87 M2 Competition and M2 CS use the FB647/20 filter kit.

Why are two BMC filters listed for the E9X BMW M3?

E90, E92, and E93 M3 applications can use FB577/08 or FB536/08 depending on production period and factory airbox configuration. Confirm the model year and BMW OEM reference instead of selecting by chassis alone.

Does a replacement BMC filter require engine tuning?

Engine tuning is generally not required when a compatible BMC filter is installed as a direct replacement inside the original BMW airbox. Additional intake or engine modifications may have different tuning requirements.

Can BMW M BMC filters be cleaned and reused?

Yes. BMC filters are washable and reusable when serviced correctly. Use the proper BMC cleaning and re-oiling products, allow the filter to dry completely, and avoid over-oiling before installation.
